Salman Al-Faraj, the former captain of Al-Hilal, dropped a heavy surprise when he revealed the deep conflict that occurred between him and the Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus during the 2023-2024 sports season.

Al-Faraj confirmed that his relationship with Jesus completely collapsed after he felt that the coach did not appreciate him within the team, accusing him of deliberately ignoring him and favoring less competent players over him, without providing any logical explanation.

Salman explained that he requested a direct meeting with Jesus to ask him about the reason for his exclusion, only to be shocked by the harsh response from the coach, who told him that he was merely a backup option and would only rely on him in extreme necessity.

According to Al-Faraj, the Al-Hilal management tried to resolve the conflict and inquired with Jesus about the possibility of his continuation, but the coach insisted on his stance, a position that Al-Faraj considered hypocritical and insincere, compared to what he had heard personally.

The veteran player decided to stay out of respect for the fans, but the situation changed at the beginning of the following season when he received a warning from his agent that the coach had clearly informed the management: "It's either me or Salman," which hastened his official departure.

Al-Faraj concluded his statements by confirming that Jesus was the primary factor in ending his long career with Al-Hilal, despite his desire to continue, but the environment within the team had become unbearable for him due to the poor relationship with the coach.
